With over 20 artists in attendance, we were at the gallery opening, held July 12th, 2012 at the Queensborough Community College | QCC Art Gallery CUNY. The galler is located on the campus at 222-05 56th Ave. Bayside, NY 11364. There is something for every fan of the fantastic, including several pieces from H.R. Giger. Dr. Margaret Matheson (Sigourney Weaver) and her partner, Tom Buckley (Cillian Murphy) are the world’s foremost investigators of paranormal phenomena. Professional skeptics, they have debunked dozens of fraudulent mind readers, ghost hunters, faith healers and the like by detecting what Matheson calls “red lights,” subtle clues to the trickery behind each of these “supernatural” occurrences.
When legendary blind psychic Simon Silver (Robert De Niro) comes out of retirement after 30 years, his once-fearless adversary Matheson warns Buckley to back off. He suspects the charismatic, spoon-bending mind reader was involved in the mysterious death of his most determined critic 30 years earlier, and considers him far too dangerous to confront.

Teller, the smaller, quieter half of Penn & Teller, will have the world premiere of his performance film of PLAY DEAD, the Off-Broadway horror hit starring Todd Robbins, on Friday, July 27th at Montreal’s 2012 Fantasia International Festival. Teller and Robbins will both attend.

Award winning film and television composer Blake Neely will join executive producer and show-runner Marc Guggenheim for Comic-Con’s “The Characters of Music” panel, discussing the CW’s new fall series, Arrow. Christopher Lennertz will also be a featured panelist with producer Todd Aronauer, discussing his scores and work with the CW’s hit series Supernatural. The panel will take place at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 West Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101 on July 12, 2012 at 6:00PM.

In 1994 a Nicholas Barclay was 13-year-old boy when he disappeared without a trace from San Antonio, Texas. Three and a half years later he was found alive, thousands of miles away in a village in southern Spain. When he is questioned, he weaves a tale of kidnap and torture. His family is overjoyed to bring him home. But all is not quite as it seems. The boy bears many of the same distinguishing marks he always had, but he now posses a strange accent. Why does he look so different? Most troubling, why doesn't the family seem to notice these glaring inconsistencies? Visionary director Timur Bekmambetov (director of "Night Watch" and "Day Watch"), aided by producer Tim Burton, re-imagines Lincoln as history's greatest hunter of the undead.
Timur Bekmambetov a native of Russia, he graduated in 1987 from the A.N. Ostrovsky Theatrical and Artistic Institute with a degree in theater and cinema set designing. Bekmambetov was one of the directors of Bank Imperial’s popular World History commercials. In 1994 he founded Bazelevs Group, an advertising and film production, distribution and marketing company. Bekmambetov's first feature, “Peshavar Vals” (1995), aka “Escape from Afghanistan,” was a violent and realistic look at the war between Russia and Afghanistan. The film was dubbed in English and released directly-to-video by Roger Corman in 2002. With the Roger Corman producing he directed “The Arena” (2002), a remake of the 1974 film of the same name.
