Inspired by in the very chilly Scandinavian country of Norway, the Marvel Comics-based Thor -- with its roots in the legends of the Norse Gods and their fabled home of Asgard -- puts a grand and glorious, verging on the absurd, spin on the pulp-ish superhero.
Okay, putting a Nordic spin on director Kenneth Branagh's Thor, the latest cinematic rendering of a Marvel Comic character, might be pushing it but this flick hits most of the grandiose marks and certainly won't dissuade the interest in anything mythic or even Shakespearean.
As quality genre flicks go, this huge, effects-laden epic looks like it's worth the $150 million dollars that it cost.

 PER MELITA is one of the producers on the indy horror thriller THE BLEEDING HOUSE, written and directed by Phil Gelatt and making its premier at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, as well as being distribute by Tribeca Films.
Per grew up in Italy and in the Netherlands. He was schooled in the German schooling system and went on to pursue a higher education at Dutch and American universities culminating in an MBA in Finance and Media from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business in New York City.

 In medieval times, St. Niklas is a bishop fallen out of grace and traveling with his gang of robbers and thieves, raping, plundering and killing through the countryside. While raiding a small town the villagers take the law into their own hands and murder the bloodthirsty bishop and his thugs by setting their ship on fire, Niklas vows revenge and the curse is born. They find tempor ary refuge in a deserted nature reserve but the sister falls into a hunting trap set by a psychotic killer. The brother sets out in a race against time to find help and rescue her. A forest ranger and his old dog, two apathetic cops, and four tennis players are wandering carefree amongst a murderer’s traps. As things begin to spiral out of control they will all be drawn into a whirlwind of misunderstandings, fears and violence.

 THE BLEEDING HOUSE is a terrifying portrait of how the sins of one can stain the entire family by . Philip was born and raised in Wisconsin, where he misspent his youth in front of videogames and fantasy novels. He attended NYU where he earned his undergraduate degree in Cinema Studies and Anthropology. His career began writing for both Oni Press and Dark Horse comics. For Dark Horse he worked on INDIANA JONES ADVENTURES and for Oni he has written a number of original graphic novels, LABOR DAYS volumes 1 & 2 and the forthcoming PETROGRAD. Ghosts continue to fascinate us and remain to be part of popular literature, television and films. There seems to be an insatiable hunger for new "ghost stories" and in the last few years numerous ghost-hunting reality shows have popped up on television. Each episode features paranormal investigators venture into purportedly haunted places in an attempt to provoke spirits to make contact in hopes of capturing it on video.
Lance Preston and the crew of GRAVE ENCOUNTERS, a ghost-hunting reality television show, are shooting an episode inside the abandoned Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital, where unexplained phenomena has been reported for years. They find themselves lost in a labyrinth of endless hallways and corridors that cause them to slipping deeper and deeper into the depths of madness. It is taping what turns out to be their final episode.
