BLOOD MANOR, NYC's Premier Haunted Attraction returns to Manhattan for it's seventh consecutive year at a brand new location, in the heart of NYC’s Hudson Square District at 163 Varick Street. The Madness and mayhem returns as the MANOR opens its doors on Tuesday, October 7, 2011. Comprised of approximately 5,000 square feet of themed rooms, corridors, and a labyrinth of passageways BLOOD MANOR is provides unrelenting terror with an abundance of new themes and scares that will leave many of you with raw vocal chords from the uncontrolled screams.
The move enables BLOOD MANOR to slither into a total of nineteen environments with more madness and mayhem. The MANOR begins with a walkthrough the haunted forest leading to the front door of the manor, which is probably the tamest part of the experience. From there in becomes an unstoppable roll caster of fright. There are new twist to many of the rooms that are more challenging then when they were in their previous locations. Some of the MANOR's chills come from it's quieter moments, the pitch black maze and the vortex tunnel, the hold sinister surprises. Returning is their expanded take on the Vampire bar in "Dusk Till Dawn" with even more sultry vampires. They've expanded and added more elements to their already amazing 3D maze of terror that now comes to an astounding climax in the Zombie Apocalypse room, all in 3D. Blood gushes everywhere in the MANOR, spewing roughly 37 gallons per night, and all the practical gore is enhanced with digital audio and visual effects. BLOOD MANOR is open Thursdays to Sunday the second and third weeks in October, and open nonstop from October 25th to the 31st. They've added November 4th & 5th for those fans who just can't get enough of the MANOR. For hours of operation visit their website at www.bloodmanor.com. The MANOR also offers attendees a variety of ticket promotions including; $20 Student Nights, Free Admission on Birthday Nights and discounts for online ticket purchases. Tickets can be purchased on their website, by phone, or in person. However, as Halloween approaches they often sell out so make sure you get your tickets in advance. There are several special promotion nights with tie-ins to films like "The Dead," "The Woman," and "Paranormal Activity 3" to name a few. BLOOD MANOR has moved locations and upped the scares. Fright fans can expect some more scares for their bucks. As Halloween draws near folks will literally be dying to get in! I dropped by last Halloween and the line was out of control so its wise to get your tickets in advance and show up early. Even if you get caught up in the "horror" of the dreaded line it is worth the wait. With so many repeat customers it's no wonder that BLOOD MANOR is New York City's premier haunted attraction. FEARSmag's staff highly recommends BLOOD MANOR for getting your fright on this 2011 Halloween season. |
