Company minority-owned by Walt Disney Company produces the Mouse Houses hit cartoon series "W.I.T.C.H." but also continues to operate as an independent studio, acquiring and creating its own portfolio of animated programming. |

{Hollywood Reporter} - Sci Fi Channel has teamed with "Sex and the City" creator Darren Star and feature writer Mike Werb for a techno-crime series project and has tapped Tony winner Alan Cumming to star in the networks upcoming miniseries "Tin Man."
In broadcast pilot pickup news, ABC has given the green light to a contemporary take on Raymond Chandlers noir detective Philip Marlowe and to "Pushing Daisies," a one-hour pilot from "Dead Like Me" and "Wonderfalls" creator Bryan Fuller and Oscar-winning producers Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks. |

{Hollywood Reporter} - NBC Universal Cable Entertainment is set to launch a new channel featuring horror and thriller programming, while Sci Fi Channel has teamed up with George Clooney to develop a miniseries set in a futuristic civilization.
Meanwhile, Bravo will end the run of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" after the makeover shows upcoming fifth season. Additionally, the cable channel has inked deals with Paula Abdul and "Project Runways" Tim Gunn for new unscripted series. Those were among the announcements Friday during the NBC Universal cable networks portion of the Television Critics Assn. press tour at the Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel. |
