BY FEARSmag {New York, NY} - The NYCHFF is proud to announce its alliance with Writers Boot Camp and Final Draft. The three have joined forces to begin the genres most important script competition. Got a script or a comic book that falls into the horror or science fiction genres? Think you have what it takes to make it in NYC? Starting in February, well find out! Remember, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere! The Competition - With $10,000 worth of incredible prizes, winning scripts to be read by industry professionals, the option of feedback from the reading staff of professionals, the NYCHFFs Script and Comic Book competition will truly be the launching pad for the genres most talented writers.

PENNY ARCADE's Gabe and Tycho Come To NY Comic Con

New York Comic Con (NYCC) today revealed that Mike "Gabe" Krahulik and Jerry "Tycho" Holkins will both appear at the 2009 New York Comic Con as Guests of Honor. Gabe and Tycho are the creators of the popular video game-themed webcomic Penny Arcade, and they will appear at New York Comic Con to take part in panels and signings. The 2009 New York Comic Con takes place February 6-8 in the Jacob Javits Center in New York, NY. Gabe and Tycho join Guests of Honor including Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, J. George Perez, Michael Straczynski, and Michael Uslan.
