Review:  This story takes place on the edge of fantasy and reality. It clearly borrows from the Harry Potter stories and mythology telling the tale of a boy wizard with magical abilities. However unlike Potter THE UNWRITTEN adds a dimension of realism by placing a story within a story in our modern world. THE UNWRITTEN is explosive storytelling that jumps off the page and hints at the magic happening between the pages. In a very clever way the reader is never fully shown what is going on. Instead we are only given clips and glimpse into the world of fiction that lies behind our own reality. 

Its hard to explain without giving too much away or projecting my own theory’s on to this book but I highly recommend it.
