POLYMORPH
Tempe Video
review by Terry
Wickham
A
laugh riot. With the comic book captions, over the top action, I can't
help but think the film was designed to be funny. For example there is
a scene towards the climax where Ariauna Albright's character comes out
in a leather-get-up, ready to battle the alien menace; James L. Edwards
& Tom Hoover's characters can't help but burst out laughing and you're
sure to do the same. A meteor falls to Earth, bringing an alien organism
that emulates anything it comes in contact with (INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS,
INVADERS FROM MARS, THE THING, LIFEFORCE, THE HIDDEN). A group of drug
dealers are trying to lay low from the law, hiding out in the woods when;
two couples, a scientist and a security guard stumble upon them. The alien
force crosses all their paths, throw in some genuine sappy dialogue and
you have instant laughs. By the actions these characters take, it's more
of a love feast of different people trying to be friendly than a horror
film. Never the less, I was entertained and enjoyed the laughter this film
provides.
