 BY FEARSmag - The Horror Writers Association will hold their annual Stoker Award Banquet in conjunction with the 2008 World Horror Convention (WHC). WHC 2008 will be held from March 27-30 at the Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown. The award-winning author Jeff Strand will be the emcee for the 2008 Bram Stoker Awards Banquet. The following works have been recommended for inclusion in the preliminary ballot for this year's Stoker Awards. In the following weeks, the votes will be cast and counted, after which, the nominees will be announced. |

Abunga.com is so dedicated to providing a family-friendly environment to shop for books online, it even lets customers vote on books to ban. That happened recently with the children's fantasy novel "The Golden Compass." The book, which was the basis for the movie of the same name released in December, received criticism from religious groups for its perceived anti-Catholic and atheistic themes. |
